Budding journalist should initiate a public opinion before voting and during and ask questions to public/voters like:
Why the voting is done and its benefits to taxpayers and citizens?
what do you think which party BJP/Congress/Independent is better?
what do you expect from them?
What is their job once elected?
Any agenda or what work progress or new job you expect by them
Such survey should be published. People would become aware of their rights

59 percent is very good, the elected representatives do only 20 percent of their job in 5 years. We have good roads but no proper signals, footpath and etc.

low turn out as usual in MCC elections, mainly in heart of the city wards clearly indicates that people, including me, have lost faith in the administration.

It does not make any difference to me whether BJP or Congress assumes power in MCC. It will be a daunting task to manage the highly corrupted entity.
