Dubai, Oct 12: A Dubai court on October 10 sentenced a 29-year-old worker to three months in jail for sexually harassing a woman.

According to report in Khaleej Times, the Pakistani man was found guilty of groping a woman at a Metro station. The court also ordered his deportation after he completed his jail term. The accused can appeal the ruling within 15 days from the issuance date.

The complainant, a 35-year-old Filipina woman, lodged a complaint against the accused at Al Rafaa police station, who denied the charge in court. She said that she was with her friend taking the Metro to another station in Bur Dubai when the man touched her intentionally as the place was not busy at that time and that he could have stood easily away from her.

It is said that the police arrived and arrested the defendant at the station right after she reported the incident. The complainant's 36-year-old Filipino friend, a cleaner, told the prosecutor that he witnessed the defendant touching her inappropriately.
