Chikkamagaluru: Three teenage students drown in pond

Chikkamagaluru, Oct 9: In a tragic incident which happened at Bilekal village of the taluk on Monday October 7, three students met watery grave. 

These three students had ventured into Kendinakatte pond on Monday evening after participating in Ayudha Puja celebrations. Those who drowned were Jeevith (14), Murali Kartik (15) and Chirag (16), all from housing board colony in the town.

Murali Karthik and Jeevith were eighth standard students of BGS school here. Chirag was a tenth standard student of Sai Angel’s School. 

Mortal remains of Murali Karthik and Jeevith were found the same evening. Chirag's body was found after fire personnel undertook an operation on Tuesday morning.
