Chamarajanagar, Sep 8: It is reliably learnt that BJP MP representing Chamarajanagar constituency, V Srinivasa Prasad, and Nanjangud MLA, B Harshavardhan, have been feeling let down by the state government on the issue of transfer of certain officials. It is said that Prasad and his son-in-law, Harshavardhan, are on the verge of quitting the party. 

Sources say that Srinivasa Prasad and Harshavardhan are hurt by the fact that their recommendations for transfers of certain officials have not been honoured. Their anger is pointed at the chief minister, B S Yediyurappa.

Prasad had differences with the then chief minister, Siddaramaiah too, and because of this, he had resigned from the Congress and crossed over to the BJP. However, he was defeated in his first attempt to enter the assembly by-poll on BJP ticket from Nanjangud constituency in 2017.

It is said that when approached, Yediyurappa, instead of accepting the recommendation for transfer of officers made by the duo, offered some alternatives offers which did not go down well with them. The two may take a couple of days to take a final decision in view of volatile political situation in the state, it is said.
