Mangaluru, Sep 7: A man working as a civil contractor reportedly committed suicide here at Kottara on Friday, September 6.
The deceased has been identified as Jayakar Alva (50), a resident of Kottara. The incident came to light on Saturday morning when his wife noticed her husband missing from house.
It is gathered, on the night of September 6, he went out from the rear door of the house, and reportedly jumped into the well close to the residence.
He is survived by wife and two daughters.
The reason for his extreme step is yet to be ascertained. Urwa police registered a case.
