Sullia: Ministry formation - Angered by exclusion of Angara, over 70 resign

Daijiworld Media Network - Sullia (SP)

Sullia, Aug 22: Disillusioned by the last minute denial of ministerial position to local MLA, Angara, the taluk BJP committee had organized emergency meeting on Wednesday August 21 to pool the general opinion of the leaders and workers of the party on this issue. Over 70 elected people's representatives, in defiance to the party's decision to repeatedly keep Angara away from the corridors of power, have tendered their resignation letters.

The resignation letters of the representatives were handed over to BJP Mandal Committee. The meeting also decided to launch non-cooperation movement by the party unit.

It was decided that the people's representatives chosen from the BJP in the constituency will not attend their office, will not take part in meetings and functions, and will own non-cooperative attitude with the district and state units of the party, said Mandal BJP committee president, Venkat Volalambe.

The emergency meeting held here was attended by leaders like A V Teertharama, Venkat Volalambe, Rakesh Rai Kedenji, Bhagirathi Murulya, Chaniya Kaltadka, Subodh Shetty Menala, Harish Kanjipili, Dinesh Medu, Chandrashekhar Panne, Muliya Keshava Bhat, and several others in addition to a large number of party workers.

They are just dreaming. even if he wins another two terms, I doubt any ministry!!!! They have bigger sharks to satisfy. And he can not win as rebellion or Independent! Hence just a MLA is likely option!

In BJP loyal leaders MLA Angara and Mr. Haldi Srinivas Shetty who are striving party are not considered for ministry. In spite of this BJP leader who lost polls & was caught watching porn in House enters Karnataka cabinet.

One of the new Karnataka ministers, Laxman Savadi had weathered the porn controversy with audacity, claiming the clips were for ‘educational purposes’.

In 2012, BJP leaders Laxman Savadi, C.C. Patil and Krishna Palemar resigned as Karnataka ministers after they were caught watching porn in the assembly while the proceedings were on — a controversy that left the party deeply embarrassed.

Seven years later, two of them — Patil and Savadi — are back in the state cabinet.

Of the 17 rebel MLAs who rebelled, Savadi is said to have convinced six legislators of the Congress to switch sides.

As far as internal rebellion Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh will never allow it to happen. There won't be any immediate threat for the BJP.
