Doha: Karnataka Cultural Foundation celebrates Independence Day ‘Freedom 73’

Doha, Aug 21: Karnataka Cultural Foundation (KCF) Qatar national committee celebrated India’s independence day by hosting ‘Freedom-73’ programme recently here.

National committee president Yousuf Sakhafi Ayangeri chaired the programme. KCF international committee member Hafil Umarul Farook Sakhafi inaugurated the programme. Rehmatulla Sakhafi Elamaram tabled the subject.

“India’s independence is the fruit of sacrifices and fighting by our elders against the British who had held the country in their tight fists for about two centuries. Our elders had united against the British setting aside religious and caste based restrictions. The current political situation in our country takes us to transcendentalism from independence. Some selfish politicians and officials have indulged in breaking the society. Wise society needs to come forward to protest against it and provide social and spiritual justice,” said Rehmatulla Sakhafi in the key note address.



The donations for relief in Karnataka state for those who lost their houses and belongings during recent floods in several districts in the state were handed over by zone representatives to national leaders. KCF Doha zone comfort division secretary Zubair Turkalike, KCF Azeeziya zone president Nasratulla Saheb Malpe and Madina Khalifa zone comfort division president Ibrahim Khaleel K C Road handed over amount collected in their zones to KCF national committee comfort division secretary Hassan Punjalkatte.

KCF national committee leaders Abdul Sattar Ashrafi Mata, Munir Magundi, Arabi Kunji Mudipu, Sadik Muloor and others were present. National committee organizing division president Mohammed Hanif Patoor welcomed. Chief secretary Aboobacker Siddik Handuguli rendered vote of thanks.
