Gadag: House destroyed in deluge - Elderly woman suffers cardiac arrest, dies

Gadag, Aug 18: An elderly woman, who could not stand the site of her collapsed house due to the recent deluge, suffered cardiac arrest and died. This incident is reported from Boodihala village of Naragunda taluk of the district. 

Hanamavva Lingadala (62), is the woman who lost her life in this incident. 

The whole village of Boodihala was covered with water due to the flood that caused by the overflowing of Malaprabha River. The elderly woman was shifted to a gruel center for the same reason. 

Hanamavva returned to her village on the evening of Saturday, August 17 after the water from the flood got receded. However, she collapsed as she saw the condition of her house, which was lying on the ground and died instantly. 

Naragunda rural police have registered a case in this regard.
