Kuwait condemns drone attack on Saudi oil field


Kuwait City, Aug 18 (IANS): Kuwait condemned a drone attack at Shaybah Oil Field in eastern Saudi Arabia, the Kuwait's Foreign Ministry said.

This action aimed at destabilizing the security and stability of Saudi Arabia and the global energy supply, which requires an international effort to avoid crises, conflicts and tension in the region, an official source in the ministry said in a statement on Saturday, Xinhua reported.

The source affirmed Kuwait's full support to Saudi Arabia and all measures taken to maintain its security and stability.


A Saudi minister said a drone attack on Saturday caused a minor fire in a gas plant in an oil field in eastern Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

    Half of each oil barrel's production cost includes Security Money given to security agencies to protect the oil fields from attacks of any sort. And then everything else like costs of refining, transportation, taxes, etc., add on.
    We only pay for our deeds! If world was peaceful, fuel would have cost less than mineral water!!!!
