Kundapur, Aug 16: The body of the postman, Robert Banz, who fell into a rivulet at Nada Guddeangadi under Gangolli police station limits, while on duty, was recovered on the morning of Friday, August 16 from Kalihitlu of Gujjadi in Gangolli.
Robert Banz had taken with him Walter Fernandes, a resident of Attikone, on his bike on August 14 and had dropped him near the petty shop of Johny D'Almeida saying that he will come after delivering the post. However, he did not return even till late into the night.
When the family members started searching for Robert, his two-wheeler was found near the Nada Kaluvina Bagilu rivulet and his footwear was floating in the water. It is suspected that he must have fallen to the rivulet due to the strong wind.
