Udupi: Complaint against propagator of Christianity faking as Pejawar Swamiji's brother

Udupi, Aug 16: Vasudeva Bhat Perampalli, convener of the town unit of Sanskara Bharati, has expressed anguish at the alleged misuse of Pejawar Swamiji's name by a person said to be propagator of Christianity.

He said that a person who distributed pamphlets containing religious matters in the form of propagation at the church at Rajajinagar Bengaluru, had mentioned in the pamphlet that he happens to be the brother of Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math.

Pejawar Swamiji

Pejawar Swamiji, who is observing Chaturmasya Vratha at Mysuru now said that he is aware that certain religious propagators had misused his name in pamphlet. He added that he would be requesting the authorities concerned to initiate action.

We should look after our body, soul and spirit, and not abuse them. We should live a chaste life, and we must be grateful to the most Holy Trinity.

One thing, I want to bring to the attention of our readers is, what is done here is absolutely wrong and illegal. But, I want to stress here that Catholic church and Catholics who obey that church, never indulge in such act.

Catholic church in India never allows any illegal act by their followers. We welcome anyone who wants to convert to Catholicism and never do anything illegally. We get the consent of the people in writing, so that the church is not drawn to court. It takes not less than 6 months to convert a person to Catholicism where the person who wants to be converted has to learn fully basic doctrine of Catholic church and step by step we watch whether the person is really interested to become a Catholic. Catholics are all over the world, from South America to the Philippines! Anyone who wants to become a Catholic, we would welcome him.
No doubt the above incident is from Christians of some other denomination, hence, we should not paint everything by the same brush since such people are not under the control of Catholic church.
