Dubai: Businesses urged to monitor consumption of water

Daijiworld Media Network – Dubai (EP)

Dubai, Aug 8: There have been calls by Emirates Nature – WWF on businesses in the UAE to help preserve natural resources by monitoring their water consumption.

Businesses can audit their current usage and develop a plan of action to sustain water by making use of ‘how to’ guide made available by the organization. The framework developed by the alliance of water stewardship involves assessment of current water usage either through self assessment or third party audit.

Director general of Emirates Nature – WWF said that ten percent savings can be achieved by engaging employees in conservation practices and energy. The water saving efforts are likely to pay off financially in the UAE by the next five years.
