Bengaluru: Revanna offers to resign if allegations against him are proved

Bengaluru, Jul 17: Karnataka public works minister H D Revanna has offered to resign from politics, if allegations of his interference in the proposed Bengaluru projects are proved.

At a news conference, Revanna denied the charges put against him by the rebel MLAs and said he was not responsible for their resignations.

“These allegations came up only after the rebel MLAs left for Mumbai,” he said.

Several MLAs who have nicknamed Revanna as ‘Super CM’ have alleged that Revanna interfered in administrative matters. Housing minister MTB Nagaraj had blamed Revanna for interfering with regard to transferring government officials.

“I had only assisted the minister and based on his request transferred a superintendent engineer to the Housing department,” he said.

He also denied that he had neglected the opinion of Congress MLAs with regard to the elevated corridor project. “The meeting was chaired by the CM and all stakeholders were a part of the same,” he asserted.

Revanna said he is ready to apologise if anyone’s feelings are hurt and asked the rebels to return. However, when asked who according to him is responsible for the coalition crisis, Revanna tactfully evaded answering the same. He said everything is according to God’s will.
