Bengaluru, Jul 14: In a heart-wrenching incident that is reported from the city, a heartless father of three children, killed his wife in front of his children, locked the door from outside and went away.
The bewildered children wailed for more than two hours in front of the lifeless body of their mother. This incident is reported from Bilakehalli that took place on the night of Friday, July 12.
The husband was a habitual drunkard and used to fight everyday with his wife. On the said night he got enraged by the advise of his wife to stop drinking. He killed her by smashing an empty gas cylinder. Then he locked the door from outside and went away.
The neighbours came to know about the incident after they heard the loud wailing of the three children, who were continuously crying for more than two hours. When they opened the door and saw Umarani (30), mother of the children was lying dead in a pool of blood.
After the neighbour called the Mico Layout police, the body of the deceased Umarani was shifted to teh Victoria hospital for post mortem.
Police are searching for the absconding husband Chinnaswamy.
