Nothing new about smuggling gold in the rectum which is the latest trend. But I am surprised about this hashish in slippers. I had this experience some couple of years back when I was travelling from New York to Mangalore via Abu Dhabi with my wife. One idiot passenger who boarded a flight from Abu Dhabi who had a baggage which he kept in front of his seat which was obstructing for me and the other passenger to move out. He was reluctant but when he alighted from his flight but was caught by the customs officials as he was carrying gold and what not.

He should have been let to pass and then the Doha authorities should have been informed of the carrier. Such people should be taught a lesson in their own way.
