Bantwal: JCB operator loses life after falling into toilet pit

Bantwal, Jul 12: In a tragic incident that occurred at Parlotti of Netmudnoor village of Vittal near here on Thursday, a JCB operator died, when he accidentally fell into an old toilet pit. 

The victim of this tragedy is identified as Rajesh (30), son of Rama Safalya, a resident of Mittoor Bollaramajalu of Idkidu village. 

Rajesh had gone to the mentioned place which belongs to a person of Parlotti, in order to level the land. When he was walking over the old toilet pit in the land, he fell suddenly inside it and died of suffocation as the pit was filled with sewage water. 

 

Mobile phone of the deceased person fell near the pit itself. When it rang after some time, the people from the neighbouring houses came to the spot and saw that Rajesh had fallen into the pit and had lost his life. 

Personnel from Puttur fire service rushed to the spot and lifted the dead body from the pit. 

Vittal police have registered a case and are investigating further.
