Beltangady, Jun 13: Beltangady police successfully cracked the case in which cattle was being transported in a luxurious car that went out of control, resulting in the death of five cows.

The cops arrested two accused who are identified as Ansar (27) and Zubair (26), both residents of Moodbidri. The car that was used to transport the cows belongs to Ansar and was bearing a duplicate registration number.

It may be recalled, on the early morning of June 7, a luxurious car went out of control of the driver at Charmadi near Parashurama temple of Mundaje village of Beltangady taluk. It came to light later that cows were being transported illegally in the car. Six cows were stuffed in an inhuman manner in the car and were being taken to slaughter house. Five cows died on the spot due to the accident and one cow was seriously injured. The cattle was being transported to Bengaluru.

The inmates of the car escaped as soon as the car fell into a ditch. Police had registered a case in this connection and started inquiry. Now they have arrested two accused in the case.

    Should stuff these people in inhumane way and make them realize what those poor animal has gone through . In their life they should never get to taste milk or any milk products then they will realize the importance of Cow.
