Daijiworld Media Network - Bantwal

Bantwal, May 27: Bantwal taluk police have arrested three Bajrang Dal activists for allegedly abusing and threatening to behead Congress member Mithun Rai on the day of Lok Sabha election results on May 23.

Nishant (23), a resident of Ammunje here, Sachin (25) from Bantwal, and Karthik (30), a resident of Kasargod, were arrested here on Monday May 27.

According to the complaint filed by Mithun Rai, who was the Congress candidate for the Lok Sabha elections from Dakshina Kannada, at around 6 pm on May 23 after the results were declared, Bajrang Dal activists violated prohibitory orders under Section 144 and gathered at Badakabailu in Kariangala to celebrate BJP's victory.

The group of Bajrang Dal activists allegedly used abusive words against Mithun Rai and even issued a threat to his life, calling for his beheading. The complaint also states that the activists raised slogans in a public place and disrupted peace, and also also started a group clash.

All Bajrang Dal activists are not bad, but only few are spoiling the good name and image of the party. This will also spoil the image of the Ruling Party. No party should abuse each other and indulge in war of words. This need to be stopped.

They know if they kill any human also their elected MP or leader will be there to bring them out.

Parents of young youth try to open your eyes, don't let them spoil like this, send them to military at least they can protect our country with this energy rather than wasting their life and spoiling your name.

Thanks to the Police Department for taking appropriate action against those Bhajrang Dal goondas.
Let the Police take stringent action agaisnst those communal extremists. They spoil their own future by doing such goondagiri. They bring bad name to DK district, BJP Party and Bhajrang Dal. Sangh Parivar leaders should train young people by teaching them good Hindu Culture. Bhajrang Dal should be model group for others. This type of behavior, goondagiri or mob linching will bring bad name to India in foreign countries. PM Modi will not tolerate such behaviour from Bhajrang dal or any other groups.

Though there is acute shortage of water in Mangalore, these guys have enough supply of liquid! Such people thrive when they get free liquid diet! Even if you provide them employment, how many days they are willing to work? They are part of our society to balance the crime and disharmony part? If politicians do not support such groups.....they cease to exist with immediate effect! Our beloved politicians may need them to create ruckus at times!!

No, this is not only deplorable, this kind of celebration is not fit for the civilized society. Strict action culminating in prison sentence is need of the hour to serve as deterrent for future such abuses.

In spite of prohibitory orders on counting day, the police have allowed celebrations in several rural places around mangalore including sensitive areas such as thokottu etc.. This included playing loud music and bursting crackers. While celebrating a victory is normal, doing it just to instigate a section of society is not correct.
The District Police commisioner should look into this becoz some station officers seem to be hand in glove with some trouble creating elements.

Good to know that Bajrang Dal activist arrested for abusing, threatening Mithun Rai at Whoever and wherever such violence occur by any group, candidate, organization to be apprehended the culprits and meted harsh punishments. They are the one,who create disharmony among the people. It is not written anywhere that by being a Bajaranga activist or belonging to any other organization can do anything they want at the cost of other's life.Who will give the authority, power to use such abusive words and threaten others. On the contrary, they have to try for the peace, love among the people of other community or from the same same group. I totally disagree with the above act by the Bajarang activist and condemn it.
