The diocese must ensure that the priests - preferably the Parish Priest and not the Assistant Parish Priest - must visit the parishioners at least twice or thrice a year to understand the spiritual needs of the faithful. Presently they just visit once during the house blessing wherein they usually spend time updating the register. Also, usually the Assistant PP visits most homes which I feel is not an ideal arrangement.

    Dilip
Be thankful to them.. atleast these priest doing their best to visit at least once year where as in Europe and west forget about visit there are shortage of.priest to say the mass. Be grateful to every priest of what they do in India and great sacrifice of their lives for all of us. Applies to nuns as well. I feel they deserve great respect and our prayers from all of us and blessing. It is a greatest sacrifice they do for all of us living away their families and worldly lifes.

In west very less people go to church also, so its kind of balances, ie less devotee == less priests . Asian counties r different and have church full of devotees , so priest has more responsibility
