Bantwal, May 24: "Lok Sabha election results depict the faith that the people of the country have kept on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the state of Karnataka also BJP has won in 25 out of the 28 seats. This shows that the people of the state are not happy with the policies of the coalition government. People are with the BJP," said Rajesh Naik Ulippadi, MLA of the taluk.

Rajesh was speaking to the scribes at the BJP party office at B C Road on Thursday while watching the time to time update on the huge screen that was put up in the office.

Naik further said, "The whole country is celebrating that Narendra Modi is becoming the prime minister of the country for the second time in succession. We have taken lead in more than 350 seats as of now. When I contested the legislative assembly elections I got a lead of 16,000 votes in the taluk. However, this time Nalin Kumar Kateel has got double of what I got, that is nearly 30,000 votes from this constituency alone. This is a clear indication that in the taluk people are with BJP."

Devadas Shetty, zonal committee president, Sulochana Bhat, state vice-president, Govind Prabhu, member of town municipality, Kamalakshi Poojary, member of zilla panchayat, Prabhakar Prabhu, member of taluk panchayat, Vajranath Kalladka, president of Yuva Morcha, Chennappa Kotian, former member of zilla panchayat and Ramanath Rayi were present.
