Abu Dhabi, May 21: Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayen Al Nahyan established Abu Dhabi Digital Authority by means of a new law. It will be affiliated to Abu Dhabi Executive Council and replace Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre. The assets and rights will be owned by the new entity in its legal capacity.
The new authority will be in charge of strategic planning, initiatives and procedure regarding e-governance. It will also make sure that the government in the state complies with and executes e-governance and policies concerning digital transformation besides exchanging government data and its security in the cooperation of requisite authorities.
The authority will boost its status as a hub of innovation for services and technology while trying to improve adoption of information technology together with services across government departments in the Emirate.
