Mangaluru, May 16: Money may be essential to lead a comfortable life, but many a times, it is love, kindness, good words, prayers and genuine concern that mean much more and go a long way in providing the healing touch to a life in need of it. And when a helping hand reaches out both with financial help and with love and prayers, humanity attains a whole new level.

Twelve-year-old Anson is expecting the same kind of help as it is very essential to him make a comeback in life.

Anson D’Souza, son of Aurel D'Souza, residing at Kuloor, is suffering from blood cancer and now is under medical treatment at Father Muller Hospital, Kankanady. He has to take chemo as well as platelets. According to the hospital, the total cost of therapy is around Rs 6 lac.

Anson’s parents are not able to bear the treatment expenses due to their present financial condition. Anson’s father, who is also an Asthma patient, runs a rented shop and is not capable to collect the huge amount for his son’s medication. Anson’s parents have already spent much of their earnings on their son’s medication.

As Anson’s parents come from poor socio-economic background, financial assistance by Good Samaritans will help Anson immensely in continuing medical care, states a letter from his doctor Dr Dinesh Shet MD, DM, Father Muller Medical College Hospital.
