Bengaluru, May 15: A birthday party turned violent and a woman was physically assaulted in the bathroom at a Bengaluru’s uptown restaurant.

Though the two incidents are separate, they took place simultaneously in Shiro restaurant in UB City on May 12 and alcohol is cited to be the main reason.

In the first incident, Archith Narayan lodged a complaint. Narayan said that he and his friends were having dinner adjacent to a table where a group was celebrating their friend’s birthday. When Narayan objected to the noise, the group started arguing and the brawl turned into a physical fight. Archith alleged that the group attacked him and his friends with beer bottles.

Meanwhile, Darshan who was part of the group celebrating the birthday filed a counter complaint. Police arrested 9 people in both the complaints.

In the second incident that happened at the same restaurant at around the same time, Devyani (25) visited the ladies washroom to find a woman lying unconscious on the floor.

When she was checking on the woman, two of the unconscious woman’s friends entered the washroom and misunderstood that Devyani had assaulted their friend.

The two started slapping and punching Devyani after which she lodged a police complaint. The police are yet to arrest the people involved in this incident.

Actually surprised there is no law & order in UB city posh restaurants. The Nalappad incident 1 year ago happened in same building, though the restaurant is different.

When one is dining in public,in restaurants should also behave properly,Decency, good manners, towards restaurants workers, towards your neighbour diners ,and the way you dine.No loud noice, misabehaviour others ,and loose talks, noice etc.Drink what you want, eat of your choice,if somethingis not functionsas you want kindly inform the hotel owner.Dont try to bring it under control yourself. Not all guests are made of same timber.Thatswhy why did the guest inform the owner first?I am sure hwen the unconcious lady was inspected ,the two who came in misunderstood the situation were certainly the persons who were responsible for her injury and were trying to put the fault on the lady who came and found unconcious lady.otherwise they wouldnt fight with her.I ask why did the owner didnt undertake any measures to avoid the quarrel.?or call a security guard? Some people have money but dont have decency or manners.

Archith Narayan is not the owner of the restaurant, he had no right to bother the birthday party guys, they came there to enjoy. Archith should have reported to the manager. The problem is everyone now thinks "Mein bi Chowkidar".

Devyani should have mind her own business in the bar, people fall in toilet, sleep in toilet..blah..blah in bar. Again she also wanted to prove " Mein bi Chowkidar" and she got what she deserved. Again scene is in bar.

So True, If someone was misbehaving with ladies and harassing people will take videos and if someone was met with an accident people will take selfies, but trying to be boss or chowkidar in BAR .. they deserved it.
