After the mass, bishop inaugurated new 128 slice MRI Scan Machine which is installed in hospital. Later he blessed renovated Fathima Ward at Asha Kiran block and 108- meter height newly built water tank.

Felicitating the engineers and contractors of the new structures, the bishop said "Father Muller is an inspiration for entire mankind. He came to India with mission which was purely based on humanitarian basis. He distributed medicines for poor free of cost. He started to give homeopathic medicine to the poor free of cost. Father Muller Charitable Institutions are run with his vision and still it is very close to poor and needy. Every year we are spending crores of rupees for charity. The charity is in the form of concession in medical charges, college fees, treatment charges etc,"

"The opening of the new felicities will benefit both patients and the faculty of the hospital. Every year we are giving something new for the patients. With this they can be cured soon and go to their homes early. During this occasion I congratulate the administration and entire faculty. Their commitment and dedication are highly appreciated.” he added.

In his welcome speech Fr Richard Coelho said "Every year during our institution day, we are inaugurating something new in the hospital. Institution day reminds us about the mission of Father Muller and the success of our service. It is the day to thank Almighty and wish each other for achievements, rewards and remarkable things. During this occasion I admire the dedicated service of our all administrators, medical teams, and all staff. They are the real ambassadors of our institution. We all know there is no space for achievements in a charitable institution. Here everything is counted in the form of service. But individually there is scope for success. Fr. Mullers Hospital has always been a renowned charitable Institution from the time it was established by Fr Muller who came to Mangalore along with six other Jesuits more than 150 years ago. Fr. Mullers has always been a "dear haven" for our entire family because more than three members of our family worked for more than 100 years in this noble Institution and earned their daily bread for themselves and their respective family members. Our Sister Joan also lived in Fr Mullers Convent and did her College and went to several schools and colleges to teach and dedicate towards thousands of students.

Fr. Mullers Hospital has been a Premier "Signature" project of the Diocese of Mangalore. We still remember, late Bishop Victor Fernandes used to visit Fr Mullers almost every day on his three wheeler and make sure everything was going well under the leadership of late Fr. Reginald Pinto. Late Dr. Lorsab, Dr. Coelho, Dr. Mathews, Dr. Venkat Rao and so many other Sisters of Charity nuns have given their "best of the best" dedication towards hospitalization and many other charities that went along in the Diocese of Mangalore. The Leprosy Asylum was the most noble contribution of Fr. Mullers as well as the focus on Homeopathics.

We have a daily whisper of prayers almost every day from a long distance towards Fr. Mullers Hospital as an Institution of "Love and Charity" for all those that are sick and need the treatment as well as the cure. May Fr. Mullers continue to shine and prosper every day.
