Mangaluru, Feb 18: District BJP staged a protest at DC office in the city on Monday February 18, condemning the terror attack at Pulwama on February 14, which claimed the lives of 40 CRPF personnel.

Addressing the protestors, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said, "Our country has retaliated when there was attack in the north east and during the Uri attack. We should retaliate in a strong manner as an answer to the attack at Pulwama. There were several attacks during the former central government and terrorists had entered Mumbai, Bangaluru and many other places in the country and executed the attacks. During the tenure of Modi, there was not a single attack in the prime locations of the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take stern action against the attack."

Moodbidiri MLA Umanath Kotian said, "Entire country has shown the solidarity with the army after the terror attack at Pulwama. This is an unfortunate incident that claimed 44 CRPF personnels in the terror attack. We should strengthen our Prime Minister Narendra Modi in taking stern action against the attack. Even the traitors, who are in this country and who stand in favour of the terrorists need to be knocked out."

Puttur MLA Sanjeev Matandoor said, "Every individual in this country has come together in solidarity in favour of the army. There are cries all over the country demanding retaliation for the attack. We need to join hands with Narendra Modi to take action against the attack."

District BJP general secretary Capt Brijesh Chowta, Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik, Sullia MLA Angara, corporator Pooja Pai and others were present.

While I condemn the senseless and barbarian attack of the terrorists, I wish to say that our enemies took full advantage of the lapse in intelligence and security.
When a useless and worthless minister arrives in any city, elaborate security arrangements are made well in advance, roads and blocked and traffic is diverted and no vehicle is allowed to ply on the road at least 15 minutes before the arrival of the minister.
However, when 78 vehicles of the security forces were transporting nearly 2500 personnel, no attention whatsoever was given to the security angle. It is unconscionable that in a state as explosive and dangerous as Jammu and Kashmir, our intelligence agencies never thought it fit to provide extra security to the vehicles.
Little wonder, therefore, the terrorists could strike at will. I am pained to say that our intelligence gathering team failed the nation. Fine, we will blame Pakistan, we will go to war with them and we will do so many other things. But the fact remains that we were caught unawares and the blame willy-nilly squarely rests at the Government's door. This Modi led BJP government was found napping. The Mangalore District BJP team should understand this and stop all this drama.

Terrorist attacks have to be condemned at all times, but because here our term and their term is used, let's visualise :-
    1. During whose regime Plane was hijacked to Khandahar and terrorists were released?
    2. When Parliament was attacked?
    3. When Kargil intrusion took place?
    4. Is this not the biggest terrorist attack of recent times?

The Mangalore BJP unit only becomes 'nationalist' when there is a terror attack in Kashmir only.

    1. Where was these BJP, when 'Akhila Bhartiya Hindu Mahasabha' mocked the killing of the father of nation Mahatma Gandhi on his anniversary?
    2. Why there is no protest when the Pramod Muttalik Ram Sena unfurled Pakistani flag on Indian soil near Sindaghi, Bijapur?
    3. Ask Modiji to keep his promise of 'One Rank One Pension' for those veterans of Indian Army who fought for India?

Moreover, how many of whom enrolled your children for Indian Army instead of wishing to send them to a foreign university?
Instead of protest let organize blood donation camp and pledge your organs in your living if you really love for this nation. You can still live with one eye and kidney.
Stop using the martyrdom of India soldiers for political purpose. The soldiers who died in the attack are from poor families.

You said it. We vehemently protest, sitting in our safe cocoon. We demand a fitting reply, but the soldiers there have to carry out. Let's demand that these fellows go to frontline and do the needful. Hate speech doesn't solve Kashmir issue.

With Due respect to all our martyrs.....

Terrorism is not the only what we face in J&K or from Pakistan, Lynching is terrorism, Disturbing the peace in the country communally is terrorism, intruding the privacy of couples is terrorism and there are lots of ugly incidents that happen on daily basis in our country in which foreign countries are not involved , that too is terrorism..Dont brand the name terrorist attacks only when Pakistan or its supported groups are involved, whenever a individual is terrorized or feeling the terror its called terrorism .. Kindly fight against all terror activities... And i know the people will forget the Feb 14 incident in a couple of days and life will be normal till another such incident happens ( God forbid not )... People should think about the country first rather than supporting the dirty politicians who only know to politicize this issue for their own gain and power.

    Jai Hind.

Actions are been taken against the terrorists and are still in progress. Don't play blamegames, it's duty of all of us to stand with the government. None other than Modi had a ability to give terrorists a great reply. All people who ruled earlier were busy doing politics and some foolish people are still supporting them.

After seeing this protest , have a suggestion to DK BJP unit to conduct a "Brain storming secession " by participation of all office bearers of the party unit at the earliest. This is very much required in view of the preparation for general election also.

Please dont become jokers... Its failure of our own party.. When congis in center we used to blame them for each one of the attack.. Now we have our own government in center.. Go to delhi ask NaMo to retailitae.. Dont do foul cry in Mangalore...

You guys wanted to retaliate by war ... Its not IPL cricket to give your suggestions and feedbacks.. If you go to border then only understand the pressure.. Those our brothers who go boarders and fight are also human beings ,, they also have family , wife, parents, kids... Don't consider them like robots... Speak sensibly.. If you have guts go and join Army and fight in the border..

All politicians wake up now to take lil mileage out of the deaths of our soldiers... Come on why you guys dont speak about pumpwell circle?

Frankly speaking, this protest is against the inadequacies of the government at the Centre, and Nalin Kumar Kateel is protesting against his own government! If we do not fence our compound adequately, stray animals will definitely enter our compound. What is the point in - and of what use it is - protesting against our own inadequacies. If the protest is against Pakistan, then it should have been staged in Islamabad, not here.
