Mangaluru, Jan 28: Cambridge School witnessed the glitz and glamour of ‘Jalsa’ annual day celebration on Sunday, January 27.
The panel of dignitaries consisted of chief guest Sasikanth Senthil IAS, deputy commissioner, Bhaskar Moliy, mayor, the guest of honour, vice chairperson Flavia Albuquerque and principal Shaila Saldana.
The entire school participated whole heartedly towards the success of this grand event. The glittering bonanza of music and welcome dance gave a great opening to the evening.The array of cultural events on the theme ‘patriotism and save nature’ was beautifully depicted by grade II and III.
The theme of the annual day was ‘Navras’ which was presented meticulously by students from grade IV to VIII. It was a journey into thriving compassion among character and emotions interwoven into a dance overwhelmingly presented by the students.
The dance drama ‘Bahubali’ by grade IX had musical and dance elements to bring action and melody into life.
Prize distribution ceremony was conducted to felicitate and recognise the talent of students in various fields like academics, art, culture, sports etc.
A perfectly balanced speech by our chief guest made a great impact. He emphasized on overall development of the students is the need of the hour.
The event closed with a grand finale by Grade X.
