Udupi, Jan 10: "All the seven fishermen, who went for deep sea fishing from the Malpe port, and are missing now along with the boat are safe but in trouble," assured Bobbarya Daiva, the deity that is revered by the fishermen community.

As the efforts of the government and fishermen themselves in locating the missing fishermen and the boat has not yielded any results so far, all the fishermen of first and second Mogaveera grama sabha of Badanidiyoor had organized 'Daiva Darshana' at the Thottam Bobbarya Daivasthana on Wednesday, January 9.

The Daiva which entered into the body of the Patri assured the families of the fishermen that 'I will be near them and protect them also,'

"The missing fishermen are on the northern direction. They are arrested by people outside state. The fishemen are facing difficulties also. However, it is impossible to find them by other fishermen. The government has to search for them through the military," said the Daiva.

The Daiva was unhappy and said, "The state government however, has not done any serious attempt to search for the missing fishermen. I had alerted earlier itself that a mishap is going to happen. But you people did not take me seriously."

If what Daiva said is correct, and fishermen were moving in Norther direction the chances are there that they must have entered our neighboring country waters. May be their boat encountered engine problems and boat got drifted.
Now since Modi also promised to tackle their search work, we can have some hopes of tracing their location. Hope for the best.

These fishermen are brave and can overcome any difficulties in the sea. If they are alive, then they are probably under the custody of another nation or God forbid the pirates. However, Navy alone cannot solve if it is true. MEA must sound all the foreign missions to make strong representations with their respective governments.

Take the advise of the daiva in the positive and ensure that all efforts are put to locate these fishermen.
