Kundapur: Overwhelmed by health complications, man hangs himself

Kundapur, Dec 19: The mortal remains of Bharat Shetty (28), resident of Janata Colony at Kolkere in Basrur village in the taluk was found hanging from a tree within the cashew tree thicket at Kasanamakki in Yadady-Matyady villagle on Tuesday December 18.

Bharat had suffered from rat fever about five years back. This had given rise to kidney-related health complications. The doctors had prescribed regular dialysis for him. He was said to have been worried about his health problem since long.

On Monday, Bharat dropped off his father, Sukumar Shetty, by his motor bike at Hunsemakki bus stand. Thereafter, his cellphone was found to be switched off. He did not return home even at night. During searches, someone informed the family that Shetty's motor bike was found parked by the roadside at Hunsemakki. During the detailed search undertaken on Tuesday, he was found to have ended his life by hanging himself inside the thicket of cashew trees.

A case of unnatural death about this incident stands filed at Kota police station.
