Mangaluru, Dec 14: Christmas is all about spreading a happy cheer. Everyone wants to celebrate Christmas with a festive spirit by dressing in their best outfit, ball goers' nights, dance, music and gifts.
‘2 acres', the eco sports village at Bondel in the city is all set to celebrate the Christmas with fun-filled and entertaining evening on December 25.
Goa’s biggest bands 'Syndicate' and 'Raul with Raagas2Riches' are the main attraction of the event. Known for interactive and energetic setup, performing all genres of music like Pop, Retro, Classic Rock, Dance, Latin, Goan and Bollywood, both the bands will enthrall the participants with their impressive lineup of seasoned musicians.
At the same time it is a musical bonanza for the people of the city. Something that has never happened in city will be happening - a musical evening when seasoned DJ Roydson and young, talented, saxophonist Jarryd Rodrigues will jam together for the Christmas Ball.
Jarryd specializes in pure jazz and his repertoire consists mainly of jazz standards, which includes tracks from Louis Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea and so on. These standards include different styles ranging from Swing, Blues, Ballads, Bossa Novas to Funk, Bebop, Sambas and so on.
Well-known compere Hera Pinto will compere the event and the evening will begin with grand intro of Christmas ball. The guests are free to explore the grounds, including the garden and smoking room. Dinner, complete with local produce and abundant beverages will be served in the library, capped off by Christmas carols and a raffle.
The event offers lots of exciting prizes to be won including round ticket to Bangkok.
Smart Casuals is the dress code. While the couple entry cost is Rs 1,500, for single lady it would be Rs 750.
