Bengaluru, Dec 12: A mega Christmas carol competition was organised by Carmel Kutam here at Sadbhavan on December 9.
It was indeed a Christmas atmosphere with huge number of participants in solo, duet and in group categories participating in singing Christmas carols. The programme began with a prayer dance. Pramila D’Souza, secretory Carmel Kutam, compered the programme. Maxim Lobo, Fr Sudeep Christy and Nishita Aiyappa were the judges chosen to judge the singing quality of the competitors.
Prizes were distributed to the winners by Fr Jerald D’Souza, spiritual director, Carmel Kutam and Dolphy D’Cunha, president, Carmel Kutam, for which the judges also joined.
The rolling trophy was awarded to Konkani Samhudhai, Jayanagara which was given away by the executive committee of the Carmel Kutam. The programme came to an end wishing each and every one a very happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year 2019.
