The Central Intelligence Agency, the intelligence wing of the US government in its recent edition of the ‘World Factbook’, has named the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal as “terrorist organisations”.
Once the pristine and scenic place of Babaudangiri from the legend believed to be brought Coffee seeds from Yemen and planted which has grown to be Billion is now become a place of religious extremism.
It should also be noted that late Union Minister Anant Kumar is also one of them who spearheaded the campaign which has no problem of religious violence until few decades.
Perhaps former CM JH Patel is the only person who handled this issue very wisely. If the Congress government then handled the crisis like Hubli flag hoisting by former CM and PM Deve Gowda BJP for decades to create communal tensions 'Chickmangalore' district will be Karnataka Switzerland.
