Udupi, Dec 9: The staff of police control room assaulted his wife with cricket bat for trivial reason here on Saturday, December 8.

K S Harish Chandra of wireless section in Udupi SP’s office stays with his wife and children in Manipal police quarters. They have two children.

The husband used to fight with his wife since the day of marriage even for small reasons and used to hurt her physically and mentally.

His wife Sudha saw the messages in Harish chandra's mobile on Friday and asked why he chats with other women. Harish Chandra, who got wild for it, picked up a cricket bat that was nearby and hit her on her head, hands and legs severely injuring her. It is said that the assaults caused painful blood clots. He also hurled expletives at her.

A police complaint is registered in Udupi women’s police station.

    WHY do our indian men always raise hands first on their wives than to talk in a normal ton?Wives are not their slaves ,even slaves too are not to be beaten in this manner.Such people shouldnt marry.woman should diverce from him instead fof daily being treated like this.He doesnt understand the meaning of a partnership,marraige .throw him out of the house or put him in prison for violating.

    Wild animals such as Harish should NOT get married. The solemn oath the married couple takes on that

    occasion is sacred and never be mistook for license for spousal ABUSE.

    He deserves the same treatment that he meted upon his spouse!
