DKMO conducts grand family meet at Riyadh

Riyadh, Dec 5: DKMO (Dakshina Karnataka Muslim Okkoota), here, recently conducted its annual 'Grand Family Winter Meet 2018' at Al Awali Resort, in the city. It was well organized and a huge gathering was the main factor of success.

DKMO is a unique organization set up in Saudi Arabia, Riyadh with an intention to support the family of deceased NRIs in case of sudden death of the breadwinners. Till now it has served 10 such cases with 3 lac rupees each. Currently, DKMO has expanded with other objectives like financial loan for members, air tickets for stranded NRIs, general relief fund, micro loan to support self-employment in India and support for Anti Dowry Marriages and campaigns.

DKMO had undertaken a new project in Dakshina Karnataka to create an awareness within common people on government schemes which will be beneficial to all communities in DK.



At present, DKMO is focusing on health schemes and has appointed a representative in Mangaluru to conduct awareness programme all over Dakshina Karnataka.

The DKMO team spirit was very much appreciated and their efforts on supporting the NRI community significantly touched the hearts of the public. An awe-inspiring reception welcomed the crowd to this mega event. The programme began with a stage function followed by many other fun filled indoor and outdoor activities.

The programme started with recitation of holy Quaran by Nooh Bin Salman Noor. DKMO secretary Basheer Talapady welcomed all the guests to the dais. Master of ceremony Basheer Aramboor, a vibrant spokesman compered the event with a brief introduction of the programme to the audience. DKMO president Abdul Azeez Bajpe presided over the function. Distinguished guest Lukman Pazhur executive director of Alif Internation School Riyadh; DKMO event directors G K Shekabba and Fazlurrahman shared the stage with the chief guest.

The chief guest of the event Dr Abdul Salam Ommer, a young dynamic motivational speaker and current sensational figure in Riyadh explained the importance of one’s involvement in community Service, balanced socio family life and how it will benefit the life longevity in humans.

Abdul Azeez Bajpe briefed the audience about the activities and future plans of DKMO through PP presentation and he verbally thanked and honored the DKMO executive members Abbas Uchil, Iliyas Yermal and Nayaz Ahammad who had gone on final exit to India recently.

A well-deserved youth icon, founder general secretary and current president of DKMO Abdul Azeez Bajpe was felicitated surprisingly with 'DKMO Excellence Award' for his lifetime achievement on his dedication, commitment and hard work for the betterment of the community. Later, during his addressal, Abdul Azeez Bajpe dedicated his award to all the DKMO members for their hardwork and commitment.

Meanwhile, the crowd was kept under pressure with an enthralling raffle draw and spot quizzes.

Quiz master asrullah puzzled the children and adults with Islamic and general questions and the winners were encouraged with dazzling gift hampers. At the end of the stage programme Fazlurrahman conveyed the vote of thanks to all the guests.

On the whole, all the guests enjoyed a sumptuous dinner of sweets, ice creams, welcome drinks and fruits. As a special additive, many different food stalls challenged everyone's tastebuds. Br Mohammed Ali Jokatte and his team supervised and managed well the food arrangements.

On the other side, lady Volunteers conducted numerous activities like quiz programme, spot games and outdoor sports and they distributed fascinating prizes to all the winners.

Moideen Jokatte, Sameer, Nasir Jokatte and their team energetically conducted various outdoor games like tug of war, running race and lemon race for children and volleyball, tug of war and pot breaking for adults.

DKMO Riyadh and Puttur Friends emerged winners and runners of Tug of War; Kudla Friends and Puttur Friends emerged winner and runner of volleyball matches.

This great mega 'DKMO Family Winter Meet -2018' was sponsored by White Stone, Universal, Himalaya, Expertise, Fashion Line, Compass Logistics, Najd Scaffolding, Well Wisher Riyadh, Samcon Jubail, New Tech Advertising, NGC Jubail, Nestle Water, McDonalds, NCMS, Tree House and other companies and individuals.

In the closing ceremony, DKMO vice president Fazlurrahman thanked all the guests, crowd, sponsors, supporters, well-wishers, volunteers and executive members. On marking the conclusion, the whole DKMO team pledged to utilize the fund raised from this event to support the helpless NRIs and needy back home.
