Five-day handicrafts show begins in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Nov 21: A five-day handicrafts show titled ``Handmade Carnival’’ with various artisans showcasing their handmade products began in Bengaluru on Wednesday.

More than 65 artisans, including designers are participating in the event. In the trade fair, artisans from across India have exhibited candles, jewellery, clothing, accessories, leather goods, crochet, dolls, festival decors, and ecofriendly gifts.

Cultural events too have been organised to attract the consumers, said a press release.

The goal of the event is to bring together all hand craftsmen under a single roof. Alongside the trade fair, the carnival hosts advanced skill development for designer soap and candle makers till November 23 and courses for terracotta garden miniatures on November 24 and crochet on November 25.

Renowned artisans from across India will be awarded the ‘Handcrafters Excellency Award’ on Thursday.
