Mangaluru, Nov 19: The annual parish feast of St Anthony's Church Fermai was celebrated in an atmosphere of devotion and gaiety on Sunday November 18.

Prior to the solemn concelebrated festal mass, Fr Luis Cutinho, the parish priest distributed ‘candles of Honour’ to all the members of the Parish Pastoral Council, gurkars and representatives of the wards, those who had contributed toward the feast and also the sponsors of the annual feast.

Clara Pinto, secretary of the Parish Pastoral Council, read out the list of names. Fr Alwyn D'Souza, assistant parish priest, Mandyanthar celebrated the solemn festal mass and preached the homily.

Fr Luis Cutinho greeted the priests and the parishoners and thanked everyone for their contribution, participation and co-operation. A number of devotees were found lighting candles near the statue of St Anthony in front of the church. The stall of ICYM with a variety of lucky games was the chief attraction for the feast revelers.
