Udupi: Milagres School Kallianpur organizes food fest 'Aroma' to mark Children’s Day

Udupi, Nov 15: Eating your favorite cuisine and cherishing its taste and existence is one of the greatest pleasures in the world. Only a true foodie will understand the importance of existence of different types of sausages and dishes.

What better experience can children expect on their special day than eating yummy food and playing a whole lot of games arranged by teachers?

On the occasion of Children’s Day and World Chef’s Day a one day food fest was organized at Milagres School Kallianpur on November 14 for students, to give them a new experience of Children’s Day. Children were thrilled to participate in a variety of games and enjoy a variety of food delicacies.



About 2500 people including parents, students and PTA participated in the fest. Several food stalls were set up by hotels and eateries in and around Udupi and Manipal.

Food varieties included Biryani, Milk Shakes, Burgers, sandwiches, French Fries, Momo’s, Pastries and Pasta. The students too displayed a food stall.

The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) too had put up a Pani Puri stall. Alongside, the women’s cell of Kallianpur displayed a stall comprising of homemade food items, chilly, chicken and various others.

About nine games stalls were set up by the staff to entertain the children. Spot games, Housie Housie, raffle draw were the items of attraction.

"Getting a chance to taste loads of yummy food was an unforgettable experience,” said a food fest participant. Visitors were entralled by the organisation since it was first of its kind held in Kallianpur. It was well organized by the staff along with the principal, Fr Lancy Fernandes SJ and headmistress Veera D’Silva. Shanthi and Maria along with Mariet and Vinay planned the show.
