Puttur: Resident of Kadaba dies in railway accident in Mumbai

Puttur, Oct 18: In a tragic accident, Hariprasad Rai (52), brother of agriculturist Srinivasa Rai, a resident of Mundradi of Bantra villagae, Kadaba near here and who was working as a chemical engineer in a private company in Mumbai died as he fell from the moving train. This incident occurred on the late night of October 16.

Hariprasad was working and living in Mumbai with his family for the past 25 years. He was travelling with his family in the Matsyagandha train from Mumbai to his native place in order to partake in the house warming ceremony of his sister-in-law which is scheduled to be held on October 19 in the town.

Only after an hour of journey on the train from Mumbai, as the train was approaching Pen near Panvel he accidentally fell off the train and lost his life. Hariprasad is survived by his wife, who is an architect in Mumbai and two daughters.
