Koppal, Oct 16: Dinesh, an official of mines and geology department, who was injured during the raid on illegal stone quarry at Linganabandi village in Yalaburga taluk in the district after a diesel barrel exploded, succumbed to his injuries in a hospital at Bengaluru on the night of Sunday October 14.
Officers of mines and geology department, Dinesh and Naveen, had raided a spot at Linganabandi village after coming to know that an illegal stone quarry was being operated there. During this period, a diesel barrel had exploded, as a result of which both the officers and driver of their vehicle, Mahaboob, had suffered injuries.
Naveen and Mahboob had been admitted into the district hospital while Dinesh was taken to a private hospital at Bengaluru.
