Mangaluru, Mar 6: “MLA J R Lobo laid the foundation stone for several development works within MCC limits here at St Sebastian Chruch Hall on Tuesday, March 6.

Addressing the gathering Lobo said, “Foundation stone has been laid for development works worth Rs 112 crore. I aim to make Mangaluru second to none in terms of development in the entire state. Mangaluru is one place where we have all four modes of transport. Siddaramaiah government has contributed a lot. We are not taking up this work because election is nearing, but have worked from the beginning itself. Rs 200 crore worth projects are still pending which will soon be implemented and chief minister Siddaramaiah will be invited to inaugurate these pending projects after their completion. It is impossible to realise these projects without people’s support. We should live in unity and harmony,”

Mayor Kavitha Sanil said, “Mangaluru City Corporation has given more importance to Smart City project. Indira Canteen will be started at Pumpwell instead of Kankanady in the coming days. I am happy to have fulfilled all the promises made during my tenure as mayor,”

Deputy mayor Rajaneesh, corporator Sabitha Misquith and others were present.

In the present day scenario, we need more genuine, (silently) hard working, sincere, effective, humble politicians like Lobam, instead of bogus politicians like "Nograj" (lead character of the movie 'Humble Politician Nograj').

In short, less talk and more result-oriented work. Wishing you all the best, Lobam. Mangaluru certainly needs more leaders like you.

We are indeed proud of our MLA for changing the face of Mangalore with all the devlopment projects that he has undertaken. It goes without saying that Development can only take place in an atmosphere of Peace, Harmony and Tranquility that we have witnessed all round the state under the rule of Seedaramiah who has provided an Able and Stable Administration.

When the elections are near ..it should be time of inaugurating the development works which are completed during this tenure ..
While there is no problem in laying new foundation for new development initiatives ..but the key question is if the previous projects are completed as per Goals and objectives.

Respected Sir, Can you get us the information as to why central government projects like Padil underpass, pumpwell bridge and thokkottu bridge are a disaster and how much money they have already spent on these, please? Don't tell us to find that out. You should give us the information even though its not the work of the State Government. If we are to get the information through RTI, then we can elect someone who can help us with this information.
