Puttur, May 13: Two teenagers drowned in Gundia rivulet at Adenja on the evening of Friday May 12. They were Amit (18), son of Abraham from Laila in Beltangady taluk, and Binoy (16), son of Verghese from Baje, Alankaru in the taluk.
Both of them were on a visit to the home of their grandparents at Rekhya to spend holidays. On Friday evening, both had ventured into Gundia rivulet near the hanging bridge near Adenja temple for taking bath. However, for unknown reasons, they drowned.
Kadaba police, who registered the case, said that expert divers have been summoned to search for the bodies of the missing teenagers.
