BMW Motorrad is planning to launch its entire range in October


Sep 3: Buoyed by the increasing demand for the two-wheeler in the India, the eminent German automaker BMW Motorrad is planning to launch the new G310R within a few days. To reconcile the customers’, demand the manufacturer also planning to launch its entire range in India.

Though in India the commuter motorcycle is still ruling but it is also true that the premium motorcycles are earning their popularity gradually. BMW is planning to enter in this segment and hence, they are going to introduce their entire range from G310R to K1600GTL.

The G310R is being built in Hosur plant as BMW Motorrad has already made a joint venture with the TVS Motors. But the entire design and development have been done by BMW Motorrad only and the TVS Motors will be manufacturing the bikes. The company has already scheduled the price tag for the BMW G310R and its price is near about Rs.2lakhs.

The G310R is driven by a 313 cc single cylinder four stroke engine which is paired with a six-speed transmission. The engine produces 34 bhp of peak power at 9,500 rpm and 28 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. TVS Motor has already taken an inspiration from the BMW G310R so that they can launch their own Akula 310.

Though the company is manufacturing the BMW G310R in India but they are planning to import some models from Thailand so that they can embrace their customers with a minimum price rate. The other models, which will very soon go to enter in the Indian market include S1000R, S1000RR, S1000XR, F700GS, F800GS, F800R, R1200GS and R1200GS Adventure. Moreover, the company is also planning to bring BMW R Nine T and BMW K1600GTL.
