Mangaluru: Lobo inaugurates Dasara, Rajiv Gandhi khel abhiyan sports

Mangaluru, Sep 21: J R Lobo, Mangaluru south inaugurated the Dakshina Kannada district level ‘Dasara’ sports and Rajiv Gandhi khel abhiyan womens sports 2015-16 at Mangala Stadium here on September 21.









Speaking on the occasion J R Lobo said, "I congratulate all the participants for taking part in this sports event. Who wins or who looses is not important, but taking part is very important. Not only in sports but in all other activities one should take part with a sportsman's spirit. Our nation is still behind in sports whereas nations smaller than us have gone ahead. Students should give the same amount of importance to sports and other activities as they give to studies. I hope these sportsmen take part in state and national level sports."

Speaking on the occasion, Chandrashekar Rai president of Mangaluru Bharti said, "I thank J R Lobo. He has been very supportive towards sportsmen. I congratulate all the sportsmen and hope they take part in state and national level sports events".

Speaking on the occasion K H Nayak, physical trainer DK said, "J R Lobo has been very supportive whenever we went to him with a problem. He has solved them immediately. Chandrashekar Rai has supported the winners of state and national level sports. I thank him. I congratulate all the participants and hope they do well there by participating in state and national level sports events."

Panduranga Gowda, assistant director, youth service and sports department, Mangaluru welcomed the gathering and Madava Gowda, assistant director, youth service and sports department, Puttur thanked the gathering.

Dolphie Sequeira, Karnataka state government employees council member and others were present.
