Mangaluru, Aug 21: The audio of the upcoming Tulul film 'Chandi Kori' directed by Devdas Kapikad and produced by Sharmila Kapikad and Sachin Sunder under the banner of 'Bolli Movies', was released on Thursday August 20 at Hotel Ocean Pearl.
Vidwan Pernankila Haridas Bhat released the audio CD on this occasion.
For the first time Devdas Kapikad has lent his voice for the first song in the CD 'Porlu Tulunadu'. Kapikad's son Arjun Kapikad who is also the lead actor in the movie has also sung one song for the film.
Addressing the gathering Devdas Kapikad said, "The whole crew of the film has worked really hard. There are four songs in this film and my son and I have sung one each. It is a unique story, with a good message and good values. The movie will release in September. For the first time in Tulu industry, the famous Kannada music company Anand Audio has taken the rights of the 'Chandi Kori' songs."
Vidwan Pernankila Haridas Bhat in his address said, "Tulu speaking people are spread all over the world. Even in Mumbai there are lots of people who speak Tulu. Tulu language is very beautiful, reflecting the culture and tradition of coastal regions. 'Chandi Kori' wil be a hit movie."
Manikanth Kadri, music composer for the film addressing the media thanked his parents for their support and said, "I am very happy to be part of this film crew. Devdas Kapikad has given me a chance to showcase my talent. This movie is going to rock the world and I am sure that it will cross more than 300 days."
Sham from Anand Audio who was also present at the ceremony said that when he heard the songs, he found them really good and matching upto the standards of Kannada songs.
On this occasion Vidwan Pernankila Haridas Bhat was felicitated.
Navaneet Shetty compered the ceremony.
Rajkumar, Mukesh Hegde, Chethan Rai, Satish Bandhale, Virendra Shetty, Naveen D Padil, Prakash Pandeshwar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor and others were also present.
Karishma Amin plays the lead actress in the film. Naveen D Padil, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Aravind Bolar, Satish Bandale, Gopinath Bhat, Chethan Rai Maani, Timmappa Kulal, Suresh Kulal, Umesh Mijar, Panduranga, Richard Pinto, Raghavendra Karanth, Master Krathin, Sharmila Kapikad, Manisha, Sarojini Shetty, Sujatha, Sumithra Rai, Lavanya Bangera, Naresh, Shashi, Sunil and others have acted in this film.
Cinematography is done by P L Ravi, editing by Sujith Nayak, choreography by Akul, and stunts by Mass Maadha. Story, lyrics and direction are by Devdas Kapikad.
