Puttur Narasimha Nayak Holds People of Abu Dhabi Spellbound

Abu Dhabi, Dec 24: A grand musical event by the renowned singer Puttur Narasimha Nayak was organized in Abu Dhabi, on the evening of Sunday December 21, at the Foodlands Restaurant auditorium, under the auspices of the Karnataka Sangha, Abu Dhabi. The programme lasted for 150 minutes.
 
Nayak enthralled the audience with his masterpiece numbers like 'Daasaneniso Ninna', 'Pavamaana Jagadapraana', 'Aaduva Hakkigalu',  'Kotaanu Kottaanu', 'Kanngalyaatako', Bhavageete 'Ede Tumbi Haadidenu', Tulu song 'Anemoneya Swaami' and Hindi ghazal 'Chupke Chupke'.



Tabla maestro Manoj  Acharya, a student of Ustad Allah Rakha and  Zakir Hussain, played with mesmerizing beats on the Tabla, while Dharwad Ravi from Bangalore provided musical accompaniment to  Nayak on the keyboard.
 
Sarvotham Shetty, president of Karnataka Sangha, Abu Dhabi, honoured the visiting artistes. Ananth welcomed the gathering and Manohar Tonse proposed vote of thanks. The programme was well attended by over 200 music lovers hailing from different walks of life.
