Mumbai, Oct 2 (TN) Actress Tanushree Dutta, who recently accused Nana Patekar for sexually harassing her on the sets of their 2008 film Horn Ok Pleassss, has issued a fresh statement claiming that she has received threats of a violent attack by Maharashtra based politician Raj Thackrey’s MNS party. In an interview with Navbharat Times, the actress has alleged that Raj Thackrey's MNS party has threatened her with a violent attack. This on top of other threats issued to me from Nana's side as the actress revealed to the mainline daily.

“Amidst all this the Mumbai police has reached out and offered their support. They have promised me 24 hours police protection and have posted their armed personnel around my home. I would like to thank the Mumbai police force for coming forward to protect me and helping me strengthen my resolve,” – the actress said.

This new statement has made things worse for an already muddled controversy which has Bollywood in shock. Several Bollywood celebrities including the likes of Farhan Akhtar, Priyanka Chopra, Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Richa Chadha and Swara Bhasker, among others have already come out in support of the Aashiq Banaya Aapne actress.

Tanushree had previously alleged in an interview that while shooting for Rakesh Sarang’s Horn Ok Pleassss in 2008, she was being pressured to perform an intimate dance step with veteran actor Nana Patekar by the director and the choreographer Ganesh Acharya. According to her, Nana was the one who out the director and the choreographer up to this.

However, on her refusal, the veteran actor apparently got goons to intimidate her. A video of a mob attacking her car with her in it has been going viral on the web. Add to that three eyewitness accounts of senior journalists have also corroborated Tanushree Dutta’s version of the story.
