Mangalore, Jul 8: Manohar Prasad, city bureau chief of Udayavani Kannada daily, is flying to Mumbai on Saturday, en route to Nottingham in UK on a study tour.

His visit was recommended by the British Council. The prime part of his agenda is a visit to the Nottingham University on July 18, where between 2 and 5 pm GMT he will have an interaction with the research scholars from India, currently in UK.

Discussions will be centred on research and education facilities for students from Mangalore at Nottingham, followed by a tour of the world-class research facilities available at the Nottingham University.

During his 12-day tour, Manohar is also expected to meet members of Mangalorean and Kannada associations.

Besides being a journalist, he is also a skilled compere, blessed with a marvellous gift of the gab. He is also well known as a TV anchor and newsreader.
