Hyundai Motor India posts record monthly sales of 77,916 units in September

New Delhi, Oct 1: Hyundai Motor India recorded its highest-ever monthly sales of 77,916 units in September 2026, with combined domestic sales and exports rising 10.8% year-on-year.

The company sold 57,166 units in the domestic market and exported 20,750 units during the month. The September performance surpassed Hyundai's previous monthly sales record set in July 2026.

Domestic sales increased from 51,547 units in September 2025 to 57,166 units in September 2026, registering 10.9% year-on-year growth. Compared with 54,396 units sold in August 2026, domestic sales also rose 5.1% sequentially.

Exports stood at 20,750 units in September, compared with 18,800 units a year earlier, marking a 10.4% increase. Overall sales rose from 70,347 units in September 2025 to 77,916 units this year.

For the July-September 2026 quarter, Hyundai's combined sales reached 2,19,072 units, up 19.47% from 1,83,375 units recorded in the corresponding quarter last year.

Domestic sales during the quarter rose 25.61% to 1,65,772 units from 1,31,975 units a year earlier. Quarterly exports increased 3.70% to 53,300 units from 51,400 units.

Hyundai Motor India MD and CEO Tarun Garg said the performance reflected the appeal of the company's portfolio across domestic and international markets. He also confirmed that September's sales surpassed the previous monthly record achieved in July.

The company expects customer interest to remain strong during the festive season. Garg also highlighted the opening of bookings for the upcoming Hyundai Bayon, which will introduce a new nameplate to Hyundai's India portfolio.

Hyundai is also set to launch an all-new sub-four-metre electric SUV following the Bayon.
