Bantwal, Jul 3: This is the perfect example of humanity taking precedence over  everything else like caste, creed and religion.  While members of one community took the initiative to promote humanity above everything, members and leaders of another community acknowledged this gesture in the same way by bestowing a title on these men.

Five Muslim young men of Goodinabali who on Saturday July 1 had saved two young girls from drowning at Panemangalore Bridge near here were honoured with "Netravati Veeraru" (Heroes of Netravati) title by Shri Rajayogi Ramanand Swamiji of Kolya Math on Sunday July 2 evening.

M K Hasanabba, Rafiq, Ishaq, Ashraf and Samad, who had saved Shubhashri (12) and Jayashri (10) after their father Ravichandra Rai had pushed them down from Panemangalore bridge, were presented with shawl, citation, fruits and flowers by swamiji.

Speaking on the occasion he hailed the great humane gesture of these young men and said that the society has to learn a lot from them.  "This act shows nothing but we all are children of one God.  There is no partiality before God's presence.  Kolya Math has always promoted religion of love and it would do so even in the future," he added.
