Mangaluru, Oct 12: Members of the Karnataka Adivasi Rights Coordination Committee staged a foot march and semi-nude protest in Mangaluru on Monday, demanding the distribution of title deeds and housing sites to 33 beneficiaries from the Koraga community in Vamanjoor.
As part of the protest, the activists took out a march and proceeded to the deputy commissioner's (DC) office in Mangaluru, where they staged a demonstration to draw the attention of the district administration to their long-pending demands.

The committee demanded immediate action to provide land documents and housing sites to the identified beneficiaries, alleging delays in fulfilling the community's demands. The protesters urged the authorities to intervene and ensure that eligible families receive their rightful benefits.
The demonstration also highlighted concerns over the implementation of welfare measures for Adivasi communities. The activists called on the district administration to address the grievances of the Koraga community and take necessary steps to resolve the issue at the earliest.
