From sand art to film sets, Mangaluru artist Vipin turns creativity into a craft

Mangaluru, Oct 10: From intricate sand art and signboards to elaborate models, tableaux and film art direction, Vipin, the artist behind Vipin Arts, has spent more than 16 years transforming creative ideas into captivating works of art.

With a keen eye for detail and a passion for his craft, Vipin has carved a niche for himself across diverse artistic fields. His work reflects his versatility and dedication, bringing together imagination, technical skill and artistic expression.

Vipin began his journey in the world of art at a young age and has spent nearly a decade working on tableaux and art-related projects for films. His work spans several creative disciplines, including model-making, signboard designing and artistic installations, highlighting his ability to adapt to different forms of artistic expression.

In recognition of his talent, Vipin received the Best Art Director Award in 2025. He has also contributed to Tulu and Kannada films, undertaking various art-related assignments. He credits his guru, Ajith, who runs Ajith Arts, for providing guidance and inspiration throughout his artistic journey.

Recently, Vipin had the opportunity to work with a Kerala-based television channel, where he experienced the warmth and appreciation of the people of Kerala. Sharing his happiness, he said that singing a Tulu song in front of the audience there was a particularly memorable experience.

With Navaratri celebrations under way, demand for colourful artistic displays, elaborate tableaux and festive decorations is growing. Vipin and his team are gearing up for the season, using their creative skills to add colour and vibrancy to the celebrations.

Through Vipin Arts, he continues to offer a wide range of artistic services, combining experience, creativity and dedication to bring ideas to life. Whether creating intricate sand art, designing signboards, crafting models or contributing to film productions, Vipin approaches each project with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
